Counseling - How long does it take?

After 25 years as a pension actuary, I went back to school in 2012 and earned by masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have been seeing clients since January 2015 with my therapy dog Chaucy. While I love to work with individuals and couples, I have specialized in trauma work most often using eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems.

Some clients say, how long is this going to take. I say, it depends on how much work you want to do. If you want a small renovation, maybe just 6 to 8 weeks. If you want a full remodel, well, its going to take longer. Every case is different but I will work with you to determine what goals are most realistic and give you a reasonable expectation of how much work is involved and how long it will take.
